- 4 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp red chilly powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp dessicated coconut
- 1 tsp sugar
- 5 tbsp water
- 500 gms chicken on bones
- 2 tbsp tamarind paste
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 dry red chilly
- 1/2 tsp onion seeds
- 8-10 curry leaves
- 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds

Step by Step Instructions
Step 1
In a bowl, add tomato sauce, ginger-garlic paste, red chilly powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, sesame seeds, dessicated coconut, sugar with water. Add chicken and let it marinate for minimum 30 minutes.
Step 2
In a kadhai, add oil, dry red chilly, onion seeds and curry leaves. Saute on low flame for a minute.
Step 3
Add marinated chicken and mix well.
Cover and let it cook for 10-12 minutes.
Step 4
Add roughly chopped green chilly and cook on high flame for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Your delicious Tamarind Chicken is ready.
Serve hot with your favorite chutney and green salad on side.
