Smashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 250 gms baby potatoes
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • Salt & pepper

Why Smashed Potatoes?

First things first, why choose smashed potatoes over the classic mashed variety? Well, for starters, smashed potatoes offer a delightful textural twist. Instead of the velvety smoothness of traditional mashed potatoes, you get a dish with crispy edges and creamy centers, thanks to the magic of leaving the skins on and giving them a rough mash.

The Perfect Canvas for Flavor

One of the best things about smashed potatoes is their versatility. They’re like a blank canvas waiting to be adorned with your favorite flavors. Feeling garlicky? Add some roasted garlic cloves during the smash. Craving something cheesy? Sprinkle on some grated Parmesan or cheddar before popping them in the oven. The possibilities are endless!
