But the best part? The green masala!
This green masala is made with lots of fresh things like coriander leaves, mint, green chilies, ginger, garlic, and some spices. We even add a few ice cubes and a little water to blend it nice and smooth. It turns into a bright green paste — like a magic sauce that makes the rice super tasty!
We cook this green masala with some whole spices like cumin seeds, bay leaf, pepper, and maze. Then we add green peas, rice, water, and a little salt. After just a short time in the cooker — puff! It’s done!
The rice comes out fluffy, green, and full of flavor. It’s fun to eat and smells like a garden. You can eat it with curd, salad, or just like that.
That’s why many moms and dads like to make Matar Pulao on busy days. It cooks fast and fills your tummy with warm, happy food. You can eat it with curd, pickles if you like!
